I think this lovely human has waited long enough for her portraits!
A little back story: this year I have been scheduling not only one date for senior sessions, but a backup date as well. Our COVID era has taught me to over prepare, for sure! It's also just great practice to get into since, hello, we live in the Midwest and you can always count on it to rain every few days during the early summer! Not only did Jolie and I have to re-plan for her backup date, but THAT DATE was rained out as well! Ugh, my heart breaks when that happens. So here we are, third time's a charm, right?
Jolie was such a *dream* to photograph. I always want to incorporate something special into each seniors photography experience- whether it be part of their personality, a sport they play or a location that is special to them. For Jolie's session we started at her childhood home and my heart exploded the moment I arrived. Within a sweet valley nestled in the heart of the Driftless, golden light poured right into the valley and lit up the willow trees that peppered the backyard! THAT. LIGHT. THOUGH! That sweet sun of ours was really showing off for her session, and I am so glad it did.
Enjoy some of my favorites from Jolie's session! It really brings back a smile to my face to see all of these again :) Thanks again for choosing me, Jolie!
