There comes a time once a year that marks the end of winter in Wisconsin and I clearly look forward to it every year! This year, the sweetest blondie turns SEVEN! Just like her spring birthday, she brings light and golden warmth to everyone around her, and this year I was lucky enough to catch it on camera.
Throughout the past year or so, Grace has seen me behind my camera plenty of times. I sorta even "tricked" her into being my model by making up games to photograph her. I have been able to get a few great shots of her between her keeping me on my toes with the random "I just wana play zombies" outbursts. This Year 7 Milestone session is the first time we've actually gone out for a full fledged session and she did SO WELL! There weren't any zombie outbursts, but I do have some great bloopers to send to her mama later ;)
Being an auntie has it's perks, you know. We get to be a little humans first adult friends outside of mom and dad, their secret sugary snack dealer, and we even get to see them grow up into extraordinary people with their own personalities. I hope one day she can look back and see me and her uncle Augie as family they can come to whether they are scared, hurt or proud. I promise to this sweet pea we will always be cheering her on from whatever stage, field or arena she competes in, and to love her regardless of any outcome.
Grace, my lil' nugget, you will always be loved and supported, and I promise to always give you an extra scoop of ice cream when your mom isn't looking.
You are kind. You are smart. You are important. You are loved.
-- and I couldn't forget some sweet Mama & Me portraits!
Grace clearly gets those stunning hazel eyes from her mama! Seriously, how lucky am I to be related to these beauties?!
With all my love, sweet Grace.
